It was build during the year of 1668 by the duke of Trier, Carl Caspar von der Leyen for the purpose of a "Zehnthouse" (administration building to collect the taxes paid by the farmers and winegrowers to the duke). The renovation during 1830 turned it for the first time into a wine-tasting pub; which then expanded in 1974 into the hotel as we today know it. Whilst staying with us, you may enjoy the comfort of the modern rooms (which of course have since 1974 undergone a constant refurbishment for improvement); our exquisite restaurant but also the aura and charm of the century just past.
