The Region
The marvellous lake and the many footpaths make Bütgenbach a holiday destination where you will immediatly feel at home and will certainly want to come back. Here, holidays are wonderful in every season, as walking through the unspoilt countryside to enjoy the fresh air takes centre stage. But this charming spot has far more to offer:  swimming in the lake and indoor pool, sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, pedalo, mountain bike (rental), tennis, climbing, riding (indoor riding arena), and fishing.  In winter, cross-country skiers can enjoy the splendour of snow-covered forests on marked cross-country courses.  Alpine skiing and ice-skating facilities are available close by.  This fabulous location moreover makes Bütgenbach the ideal home base for day outings.  Many wonderful destinations are within easy reach, such as the enchanting “Hohes Venn” nature reserve ‘(ca. 15 km), the Eifel Region of Germany, Luxembourg, etc.
